Untitled

Stardust or the Northern Lights

Matter across the night

Chromatography

Stretched like taffy

Elements spread butter-thin

We walked one evening

Juniper burned and we were blue under street lamps

We leapt over branches and sandbags

Volleyed down jagged slate

Our ears  burned

I spit in the dirt and licked sour lips

The sky

Clean, curious

Lifting us up.
